So here we are again. A state of emergency has been declared and a stay at home order issued. We're only to go out to get groceries, medicine, medical services and exercise. Grocery stores and pharmacies are open to in-person shopping but everything else is curbside pick up. They've finally cracked down on the Walmarts and the Costcos which last time around were getting away with selling anything the store stocked regardless of whether it was essential or not. So I could go into the Walmart, pick up food and a tv. It was bonkers. So now, we order stuff on-line (sucks to be you if you don't have a computer), leave our houses to go pick it up. It's still kinda bonkers.
I managed another gym-equivalent walk this morning. I dressed lightlt but was still sweltering. I did go out with the van to check the mileage - my route is exactly 3km which keeps things consistent.
Also did some baking today. Banana muffins - 1 doz plain, 1 doz with chocolate chip and 1 doz with walnut crumbs. I usually do cranberries instead of walnuts but I had not one frozen cranberry. I suppose I could have used dried cranberries but it probably would have been too sweet. I also made about 6 doz peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. As I've said before, the Trouts have a very limited palate in the baked goods department; it gets boring making the same things all the time. At least now that HistoryBoy is almost finished school (more later), I can make peanut butter stuff again now.
Our bigger supermarkets used to have that stuff roped off but living in a small place but we just walked around and bought it anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt's not fun anymore. I hope your strict lockdown finishes quickly.
We are finally seeing some light. And sunshine😁
