We've only ourselves to blame

I watched a documentary on rudeness last night on CBC with Valerie Pringle (who is still just too cute for words). Turns out people are rude because we have been, for the past 30 some odd years, raising narcissistic children. Children who have been told that they have to do what's "right for them" and what "feels comfortable". Children who have been told that they can do anything they want. Children who went to school at a time when self-esteem and feelings won out over competency.

Huh. I guess that came back to bite us on the arse.
