Stay at Home Chapter 3 - Day 42 + 4

 Monday May 24

Happy Victoria Day!!  I enjoyed a fairly relaxing day. Did not do any work.

I received my order from Vesey's which surprised me since it was delivered by Canada Post.  I guess they have to compete with those Amazon delivery guys.

I ordered a climbing rose to go on one side of the garage door.  There's a mock orange on one side and it took me almost 30 years to figure out that it looked a bit lop-sided with just the one side with a plant. Oh well, better late than never.  I've never dealt with roses before except those little miniature ones that I tend to ignore.  LudditeGranny gave me a bit of a tutorial on how to plant it - not just as simple as digging a hole and dumping it in. I hope it doesn't require any special treatment in the fall.  I also ordered some pink veronica.  I have had veronica before but it has disappeared but I'm willing to try again.  Finally, I ordered 3 hostas.  I thought I had ordered 3 packs of 2 roots because I was counting on 6 plants but apparently not. I've got some work ahead of me because I still haven't planted what I bought on Friday - keeping it watered though.  I won't have a vehicle tomorrow to go anywhere so there's no excuse.

Himself and I had to drop the van off at the mechanics tonight so they could work on it tomorrow and I wouldn't have to sit there wasting my day in the garage.  There's that wheel bearing that needs fixed and I think there's something wrong with the muffler (it's very loud whatever the problem is) and the air conditioning doesn't work (I hope it's just a top up whatever nasty chemical makes the air conditioning work).  Remember before cars had air conditioning?  The windows were all rolled down but we still nearly died in the heat.  And all kinds of dust and crap would fly in.  And if you were driving on the highway you had to roll the windows up because it was too loud in the car. Yeah, good times. We'll pick the van up when Himself gets home from work and I may or may not do the groceries in the evening.

Until tomorrow.  Stay sane.
