We went to visit Drunken Oma today. I felt a little nervous about it because we're under a stay at home order but anyway. We weren't the only ones with the same idea; the roads up to her house were quite busy. It was kind of a weird visit. Of course, nobody has anything to talk about because nobody has been anywhere for at least 30 days. But this time we left before supper which is unheard of. We were trying to find a place to order from - we didn't want this place and she didn't really like that place so we couldn't decide. So DO just said well why don't I just give you the money and you can get some dinner at home. We all looked at each in shock and gathered up our stuff and left. Very strange.
As mentioned above, we've been staying at home for 30 days now. 30 days. 14 more to go if the order gets lifted then. I haven't seen numbers to indicate that the lock-down has done as much good as it was supposed to but I'm sure there will be some spin put on it. People seem to be at their wits end and I sense a barely suppressed rage in folk. And if I hear "we're all in this together" I'm going to scream.
