Lego Boy & I returned from the 3 day extension of our family holiday yesterday and I've had a chance to survey the consequences of leaving Science Girl and Himself alone unsupervised.
Why is my hanging basket shrivelled up brown dead? How can 2 people walk past it at least twice a day and not notice it could do with a bit of water?
What is that smell?
Why have none of the windows been opened?
Why are the groceries bought on Monday still not put away, 2 days later?
And why did nobody think to buy dog biscuits when there aren't even any crumbs left in the box for the poor thing and you would have realized this on Sunday night when you gave her the last one?
Why is the pizza tray they used for supper on Monday still sitting, unwashed, on top of the stove?
Why is that container of rotten peaches on the counter and not in the garbage?
Why would you even buy a container of peaches that looked like they were ready to go rotten?
How did my laundry area get in such a disarray when I'm pretty sure I did not leave it that way?
Why do I feel like I've not been away on holidays at all?

These are such familiar questions. Can I add:
ReplyDeleteWhy am I the only person to throw away the empty toilet rolls?
I feel your pain.
Yep, they never grow up, not even the adults!
