My Tax Dollars at Work

The city workers have been across the road all morning fixing some sort of leak in the neighbour's yard which has been pouring into the sewer all week.  Gimpy Dog has been going nuts doing her job by barking at them.  They have shut the water off with no warning, um thanks, so I can't make myself a cup of tea.

People often joke about government workers standing around, one guy working and 3 leaning on shovels. Today it was true.

The guy second from the right did manoeuvre that sucky-out thing once and awhile. But the other 3, just standing there.

 I wonder what's so fascinating down that hole.  Just hurry the fuck up and turn my water back on.
