Boat Drinks

With winter still in full force and too much snow on the ground, I decided that we needed to distract ourselves from the coldness.

We got out the magic bullet and called the Maggots and enjoyed a frigid March evening trying to pretend we were someplace warm.

Everything was ready for their arrival.  There was cut-up pineapple and maraschino cherries for garnish, which is more work than I normally go to and an assortment of spirits.

Uncle Maggot took charge and made the awesomest Blue Hawaiians.  Isn't there something about a blue drink that just yells tropics? And don't forget the umbrellas!

When we finished off the rum, the pineapple juice and the cream of coconut, it was time to stop.

A little, if only pretend, break from the shite of winter.
