Extreme Gardening

I was finally able to do some work in the garden this week.  I had old, dead stocks to cut down and oak leaves which take 500 years to break down into compost to rake out and 5,000  many little maple keys to pick out by hand.

I woke up the next morning unable to move.  My back had seized up and my thighs were throbbing.  Seriously?  Am I that out of shape that an hour's gardening has me doubled up in pain?  Apparently so.

Maybe I'll have to start doing those warm-up exercises that you're supposed to do before you go about in your garden.  I'd do them inside though so I don't look like a total dick in front of the neighbours.

Yes, it's Extreme Gardening here at chez Trout.
