Here Comes the Rain, Break Out the Meds

The sky is darkening, the wind is picking up, the thunderstorm that has been in the forecast for a couple of days is approaching.

Best get out the sedatives for Dog before she becomes an 80lb lap dog.

As she has aged, she has become fearful of all loud noises: fireworks (Canada Day is horrible), thunderstorms (summer in Southern Ontario - can't avoid 'em), loud cars and trucks (busy streets are off-limits for walks).  Last year, Kind Vet. gave me some calming, naturopathic stuff to give her.  Kinda like St. John's Wort for dogs, I guess.  I give her 2 teaspoons to kick it off and then 1 teaspoon twice a  day

She's pretty much drugged up all summer, poor thing.  Better that than her pacing around like a caged cat getting on everybody's  my nerves and then trying to sit on me.

Come and get your meds a biscuit, my mad old Dog.
