I saw my first Robin today when out walking the Mad Wee Dog.
It has to be the earliest date for their arrival. Last year's Robins didn't arrive until the 22nd.
The current temperature is 13* and double digits are forecast for the rest of the week along with rain, not snow, for Wednesday and Thursday. It seems like winter has departed.
However, it is only the 8th of March so we must not get too excited and put the winter boots away quite yet.

No winter boots put away here yet, for March and April could still bring us lots of snow. We have been lucky so far to escape many large storms, which got pulled out to sea, but one never knows. Usually somewhere between March 12 - 17 we get a big one every year. Its known around here at the St. Paddy's Storm. We have had some lovely shirt sleeve weather too, unusual, but very nice. Have a wonderful day. No robins here yet.
