Questions I Asked Myself in the Grocery Store Yesterday

1.  Who are all these people?  I shop the same store, the same day and pretty much the same time every. single. week. I see the same people every single week.  I did not recognize any of those people. Where did they all come from?

2. Why do people bring their children to the grocery store when it's so busy?  And why do they not put them in the little seats in the carts instead of letting them wonder aimlessly around the aisle.  Maybe they'd like to stay home in the evening with Daddy.

3.  Why do people brings their husbands to the grocery store?  Either they stand about cluttering up the aisles surplus to requirements or they try to "help" their missus who has been doing the groceries by herself perfectly well for 25 years.

4.  Why do some people look like they've never been inside a grocery store before?  They look absolutely stunned, like they have no clue what's required.  So they end up wandering aimlessly through the aisles.

5.  Why do people stop to chat with their long lost next door neighbour at the ends of the aisle where people are trying to get in and out of that aisle?

6.  Why, on the 22nd of December, does the grocery store only have 3, yes 3, non-express lanes open?  Of course, all three lines had about 15 people in them all getting increasingly pissed off.

I am done with grocery shopping.  If we don't have it for the 25th, we'll have to make do without because I am not going through that again.

  1. It's the very reason I dislike to grocery shop...all of those reasons, and I thought I was the only one who took note of all those things ;)
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, enjoy your 'done time'.
