Are They Done Yet?

The Olympics are half over.  Thank God.  It's not that I'm not patriotic - I am.   We have the flag flying (today getting all snowy and wet).  I bought the mittens.  I cheer when we win something.  But I'm not a sports fan.  And the Olympics are one big 2 week long sports event.  And it bores me to tears.  There are some bits of it that are okay like the figure skating, but not even all the figure skating just the free skates or long program, whatever it's called.  And those weird sports are fun to watch like luge or the skeleton.  Man, you've got to be seriously fucked in the head to do that.  The rest of it is tedious and never-ending.  Heats and runs and qualifying races.  Oh my God, just do the damn thing.  And stuff gets analysed ad nauseum which is even more boring than the actual sports. 

  Luckily, I've got a about 10 hours of pvr'd stuff so I should be okay for the rest of the week.  Roll on closing ceremonies.
