Never mind that a pack of spaghetti is $1.99 or a loaf of shit no-name bread is $1.99, and has been for quite some time, today I discovered that a tin of apple juice has gone up to $1.49 AND they've made the tins smaller - used to be 1.3 litres, now it's 1.03 litres!
They had a sale on bags of onions but had none in stock. It seemed a little desperate to ask for a rain check for a $1.50 bag of cooking onions.
The KD was $.99 a box and that was on sale. Remember when it was $.33 as box?
The ground beef was $3.19 a pound. It stayed there.
I honestly don't know how people on limited or fixed incomes can feed their family healthy, somewhat decent food. When some crappy punch "juice", which is only really water, sugar and some colour, is way cheaper than milk, what are you going to choose?
