Normal service will resume

Himself is back to work next week so things will return to normal around here. He got the job at the beginning of April but they didn't want him until the beginning of May so he's been loitering around the house getting on my nerves. This too shall pass. An income again will certainly be welcome.

Meanwhile, I shall be back to my nice little routine which was so rudely disrupted. I can blog in peace without any observers; I can do my housework when and how I see fit; I can read or knit when I want without any twinge of guilt. Roll on, May.

There is a down-side to him not being around though. I won't have to car at my disposal anymore. We are a one vehicle family and have been for years. I was used to public transit, which is atrocious in this city but at least we have it, or walking or doing my errands at night when Himself was home. For two months, I didn't have to take the stupid bus or trudge through all sorts of weather or wait until dark to go out. I could do the groceries during the day (there's way more selection in the morning); it only took me ten minutes to get to the mall instead of 40 and two buses.

But it will all come to an end next week. The irony is not lost on me so I'll I can suck it up and buy more bus tokens.
